Job Description

Cement Truck Driver Pay:
$19.50 per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with company policies and all state and federal regulations. Produce and transport concrete made from sand, gravel, cement, and water, adjusting slump as requested by customers. Assemble and position chutes and operate mixer controls to discharge concrete accurately at job sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues promptly. Clean the mixer drum, truck exterior, and chutes after loading and deliveries to prevent concrete buildup. Complete delivery tickets, maintain accurate records, and collect customer payments when required. Monitor vehicle and equipment condition to ensure safe operation and a professional appearance. Use truck mixer controls, GPS equipment, radios, and other communication devices to coordinate with dispatch and supervisors. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking and adding oil, fuel, and coolant and making minor repairs when appropriate. Assist with plant operations, housekeeping, maintenance, and miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed. Occasionally operate additional equipment, including plant trucks, road sweepers, and other site machinery. Qualifications Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous ready-mix concrete or construction-related experience preferred. Basic math skills and strong mechanical aptitude required. Ability to read and interpret mixer truck gauges and operating controls. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
