Job Description

Everett J. Prescott, Inc.'s sister company, Quality Water Products located in So., Barre, MA, is looking for a full-time Receiver/CDL Delivery Driver to join their team! Quality Water Products is a proud member of the EJP family. For over 40 years, Team QWP has been a trusted source of leading-edge products and custom fabricated ductile iron pipe for the water and wastewater industries. We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused individual to serve primarily as a Receiver in our warehouse/distribution operation, with the ability to act as a backup CDL delivery driver when needed. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and staging inbound freight, while also supporting local deliveries by driving a commercial vehicle with a valid CDL when regular drivers are unavailable. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and holds a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiver Duties:
Unload incoming trucks and verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, etc. Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues and document findings; report problems to supervision immediately. Accurately label, scan, and enter received items into the inventory system. Stage received materials for put-away or transfer to production/fulfillment areas as directed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Assist with cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Backup CDL Delivery Driver Duties:
Safely operate a company commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues. Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, and traffic laws to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries. Load and secure cargo properly; verify orders before departure and upon delivery. Obtain delivery confirmations/signatures and complete required paperwork or electronic logs. Interact professionally with customers, address basic questions, and escalate issues as needed. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and adhere to all company safety and compliance policies.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED preferred. Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and background check. Prior experience in a receiver/warehouse role and/or CDL delivery driving strongly preferred. Ability to lift and move 25-50 lbs. regularly; comfortable with standing, bending, and repetitive motions. Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Good communication skills and customer service attitude.
