Summary:

Operate school bus in a safe manner to transport students. Paid Time Off, Benefits!!, AM/PM shifts available, Flexible Shift Available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? High school diploma or equivalent required must have a commercial driver's license (CDL) and a passenger and school bus endorsements. Eight Safety hours required each year. ? Submit to a criminal background check and pass a medical examination. ? Must ensure the safety of the children, providing first aid in emergencies and keeping the bus in safe, working condition. ? Communicate safety and boarding/disembarking procedures to passengers. ? Maintain and update student rosters and run sheets. Complete repair forms as necessary. Complete other necessary forms and paperwork as required. ? Follow precise schedules and must adjust their driving according to traffic and weather conditions in order to arrive at each stop at the designated time. ? Continually communicate with dispatch throughout shift regarding location, schedules and passengers. ? Must avoid accidents and be responsible for maintaining orderliness among passengers. ? Communicate clear and concise messages using the two-way radio. ? Follow district protocol in the event of an accident. ? Secure the bus at the end of the day ensuring that the fuel level is above half a tank. ? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. ? Ability to operate vehicle radio system accurately. ? Working knowledge of Beverly and North Shore Areas ? CPR, First Aid and First Response training required within the first year. ? Subject to random drug testing and yearly physical exams.

The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include passing DOT physical exam including vision test.

Majority of the work is performed in a moderately noisy environment with frequent interruptions.
