PURPOSE Handles daily receipt of merchandise received from vendor trucks by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents. Records factors causing goods to be returned. Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage. Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing. Other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
