We deliver food to restaurants, bars, gas stations, etc. and we provide service by installing, maintaining, and repairing dishware and beverage equipment. JOB DUTIES
: Delivers a wide variety of food items to different addresses and through different routes. Follows all DOT transportation laws and priorities safety. Ensures that products are properly secured and ready for transit. Drives routes and follows time schedules as planned by the routing manager. Unloads delivery items from vehicle and transports delivery items into customer establishment. Provides excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers. Addresses and resolves customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner. Obtains customer signatures upon delivery and obtains customer payments when necessary. Picks up and loads refused or unwanted merchandise and returns to warehouse. Performs daily inspections and indicates whether maintenance is necessary. Ability to work well with others, including dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other drivers, to ensure smooth operations.
COMPETENCIES
: Ability to drive safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT regulations and traffic laws. Ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently within a specified timeframe. Physically able to lift and carry heavy packages and goods. Knowledge of customer service to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues effectively. Ability to adapt to unexpected situations such as traffic delays, incorrect orders, or route changes.
REQUIREMENTS
: Valid class B or A Commercial Driver's License. Valid DOT certification or able to pass DOT physical. Proven experience as a delivery driver (2 years' experience preferred). Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Work in all weather conditions (under reasonable circumstances). Work Saturdays, overtime, and holidays per business necessities.
