Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route management, and timely deliveries. Candidates with previous OTR delivery driver experience will be highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on professional growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks for route driving and deliveries Ability to drive 600/700 miles a day Occasionally load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jack Manage delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs, saving on tolls and diesel Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Maintaining cleanliness of the truck and sleeping in the box truck Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during daily operations Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with OTR driving expertise Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients Experience operating box trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gate Ability to perform lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently Knowledge of truck driving procedures and safety standards Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS or other navigation tools Physical stamina for long hours of driving and manual handling of cargo Prior experience with OTR box truck driving regulations and safety compliance This position is essential for ensuring smooth logistics operations while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
