Job Description
JM Dorsey Inc is a local trucking company actively seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers to join their team. This position will be in a Triaxle Dump Truck with the opportunity to Drive one of our late model tractors as a backup and eventually full time tractor driver. Specializing in hauling sand, stone, dirt, and blacktop, the company values reliable drivers who are ready to hit the road and deliver essential materials efficiently. As a Class A CDL Truck Driver at JM Dorsey Inc, you will be at the forefront of our logistics operations, transporting various freight including construction materials across designated routes. This role offers an energetic environment where your driving skills and dedication will directly contribute to keeping projects on schedule. You'll operate automatic dump trucks and tractors , including and specialize in asphalt paving, flatbed,, dump truck, step decks and box trailers , and lowboy trailers for the right driver... Safely operate Class A commercial trucks with automatic transmissions to transport freight over short distances. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly. Manage documentation related to deliveries, including logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts. Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company on the road and during customer interactions. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with freight delivery involving load & unload responsibilities. Ability to handle various cargo types safely and efficiently. Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for commercial trucking. Prior experience a plus but not necessary. We have our own training program for Dump truck drivers
