About the

Job:

Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver with a valid Class A commercial driver's license and a clean driving record to join our team. As a Class A Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely pickup of recyclable aluminum cans, glass, and plastic bottles with a home base at our newly established Bangor processing facility.

Driver Responsibilities:

Accurate accounting for materials recovered. Proper loading of trailers. Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and report any issues. Constructive evaluation of stops, routing, and general practices. Comply with all DOT regulations and MRC safety policies and procedures Effective communication with in-house staff and customers. Operate iPad for DVIR and invoicing. Frequent use of electric pallet jack and occasional use of forklift.

Proper Candidate:

•Willing to engage in manual labor on a daily basis.•Flexible and adapts well to change. Possesses a positive attitude. Is a team player. Class A driver's license in good standing. Enjoys working outside during Maine's four seasons. Represents Maine Recycling well to the general public. Practical experience in forklift and/or pallet jack operation is a plus.

Company:

Maine Recycling currently acts as a pickup and processing agent for some of the largest beverage manufacturers in Northern New England. Our fleet of 30 trucks with over 200 trailers enables us to provide state-wide route delivery and pickup services for both new and existing beverage distributors in Maine. MRC currently employs 80 to 100 employees operating from our Lisbon Falls and Bangor locations. MRC has now expanded and opened a Redemption Center, Speedy Redemption, in Topsham, with future plans to establish redemption centers throughout Maine.
