Job Description:
Responsibilities Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart. Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to warehouses and end-users. Drive CDL A day cabs with 53' trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations. Secure pallets using straps. Strap and unstrap at each delivery. Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance. Provide excellent customer service. Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.
Job Requirements:
Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement. Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen. Minimum 100,000 miles and/or 1 year CDL A driving experience required. Prior local route delivery experience highly preferred, including local, multiple-stop delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack preferred. Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors. Legally eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English. Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical. Be able to lift, push, pull 15-20 pounds with no assistance.
Wage Range:
85000.00 - 100000.00 per year
