Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL A Driver to join our dynamic self-perform team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport equipment and materials, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all safety regulations. Your expertise in handling heavy machinery, critical components and emergency calls is essential in maintaining our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for drivers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to excellence on the road. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and specialized trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries across regional and OTR routes. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement according to logistics cargo handling standards. Transport various types of freight, including owned equipment, client machinery, and general construction materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, trailer, and cargo to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or issues encountered on the road. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Familiarity with double-drops, ramp trailers, curtain sides and construction equipment. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload activities; physically capable of managing heavy cargo safely.
