Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with a CDL A license, including manual transmission vehicles and specialized equipment such as refrigerated trailers and flatbeds Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring accuracy and care Deliver freight to various locations along designated routes, adhering to schedules and safety protocols Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Manage documentation such as delivery logs, inspection reports, and route sheets with precision Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or tankers to prevent shifting during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission preferred Proven truck driving experience, including route driving, freight delivery, and handling different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual techniques when necessary Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling Strong physical stamina for long hours on the road; ability to lift heavy loads when required Familiarity with truck maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise keeps goods moving efficiently!
