As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated Local CDL Drivers to join our team.Job Summary:
As a Local CDL Driver at Onfreight Logistics USA, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by safely and efficiently transporting goods within Detroit and Midwest USA (MI, OH, IN, IL, KY). You will be responsible for delivering freight to our customers while adhering to all applicable traffic laws and company policies.Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) with a valid Class A CDL license. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure its safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo while ensuring it is secured properly for transportation. Plan efficient routes to minimize delivery times and fuel consumption. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide timely updates on delivery status. Handle any necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts. Report any maintenance issues or accidents promptly to the supervisor. Assist in the training and mentoring of new drivers, as needed.Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift and handle freight in a safe manner. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Must be punctual, reliable, and safety conscious.Benefits:
