Job Description

Class A CDL Driver Job Summary Top Grade, located in Hamilton, Michigan, is seeking a flexible and dependable Class A CDL Driver with a Double Endorsement license and experience operating a dump truck to join our Transport team. This role will support our operations throughout the West Michigan corridor , primarily serving the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and the Grand Rapids regions . While a permanent reporting location is being finalized, daily assignments will originate from our regional facilities. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting aggregates and other materials to various locations, including customer and site deliveries. This position requires a strong commitment to customer care, ensuring that deliveries meet client expectations and contribute to positive relationships. While the primary focus will be on driving and transporting materials. This may include helping with manual or equipment labor tasks as needed. Hauling a variety trailers not just end dump trailers. We are looking for an individual who is not only skilled in driving and equipment operation but also flexible, reliable, and willing to support the broader needs of the team. Skills and Experience Required Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Doubles Endorsement Maintain required certifications per
DOT/FMCSA
requirements (Med Card, Drug Screen, Clearing House Account, etc.) Must be safety-minded and have a strong work ethic. All drivers are required to fill out paperwork each day indicating material and delivery information. Communicate with dispatch to maximize productivity and efficiency throughout the day. Ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials to designated sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the maintenance team. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a safe driving record. Load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads. Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and vehicle inspections. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and routes. Other duties as assigned.
