(Department of Transportation) regulations DOT Physical Certification Flatbed Full Job Description Job Summary Winston Brothers Iron & Metal, Detroit's oldest family-owned and operated scrap recycling company, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Roll-Off and Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting roll-off containers, scrap metal, and other materials to and from customer locations and our scrapyard while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, values safety, and takes pride in representing our company professionally. Duties Safely operate roll-off and flatbed trucks in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies. Deliver and pick up roll-off containers at customer locations. Transport scrap metal and recyclable materials to and from customer sites and the scrapyard. Properly secure all loads before transport. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues. Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and delivery paperwork as required. Provide courteous and professional customer service while representing Winston Brothers Iron & Metal. Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license (depending on equipment operated). Current DOT Medical Card. Clean driving record. At least 1 year experience operating roll-off, flatbed, or heavy-duty commercial trucks preferred. Experience hauling scrap metal, construction debris, or recyclable materials is a plus. Ability to safely secure loads using chains, straps, and tarps when required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
