Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Truck Driver specializing in local routes! This exciting role offers the opportunity to operate 45 flatbed with a moffett on local routes that keeps you home daily. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a 1/2 day on Saturday's. Normal work schedule in the Spring and Summer is 6:00a.m-4:00 and in the Fall and Winter hours are on average 40 per week. You'll be responsible for safely transporting freight, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. We offer excellent pay and benefits with opportunity for growth. Minimum 3 years driving a manual and pulling a flatbed trailer. Duties Safely operate flatbeds with a moffitt across local routes. Secure loads properly on flatbed trailers and ensure compliance with safety regulations during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and report any issues promptly. Deliver freight efficiently to various destinations while adhering to route schedules and traffic laws. Assist with route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Skills Minimum 3-years flatbed driving experience. Forklift experience Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with manual transmission required. Strong understanding of load securing techniques for flatbed freight safety procedures. Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Skilled in route driving with excellent time management abilities to meet delivery deadlines. Experience with load & unload operations using moffitt. Familiarity with safety regulations related to trucking, including DOT compliance and hours-of-service rules.
