The Role Your primary responsibility is simple: make sure our materials and equipment get where they need to go, safely and on time. You will operate Company trucks and trailers to deliver metal roofing materials to contractors and job sites throughout Michigan, pick up materials from suppliers, move equipment and trailers, and help keep our logistics operation running smoothly. When deliveries are light, you will work with our team at our Leslie facility. This may include operating a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, staging orders, moving coils and materials, maintaining trailers and equipment, helping with general shop work, and occasionally assisting with job-site cleanup. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys driving but doesn't want to spend every minute sitting in a truck. Primary Responsibilities Operate Company trucks and trailers safely and professionally Deliver metal roofing panels, trim, accessories, coils, and equipment to customer and job sites Pick up materials and supplies from vendors Load and unload trucks and trailers Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment Secure loads and ensure materials arrive without damage Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections Keep Company trucks and trailers clean and in good working condition Coordinate with the shop and office regarding deliveries and pickups Move, organize, hook up, and stage Company trailers Assist with material staging and general factory operations when not driving Help with job-site cleanup, dump trailers, and other field needs when necessary Serve as a dependable runner when unexpected operational needs arise Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers, and coworkers CDL & Driving Requirements A valid CDL is required for this position. The employee must maintain a valid CDL and remain qualified and insurable to operate Company commercial vehicles throughout employment.

Schedule The normal schedule is Monday through Friday. Most weeks will be approximately 40 hours, although hours may increase during busy periods. Some deliveries may require early starts or longer days depending on distance and customer schedules. Our goal is to maintain a predictable schedule while recognizing that transportation and construction occasionally require flexibility. Compensation $35.00 per hour Hours worked over 40 in a workweek will be paid at the applicable overtime rate. At 40 hours per week, this position pays approximately $72,800 annually before overtime . What Success Looks Like We want someone who takes ownership of our transportation operation. Deliveries leave on time. Loads are secured correctly. Materials arrive safely. Trucks and trailers are taken care of. The shop knows where equipment is. Problems are communicated before they become emergencies. When there isn't a delivery to make, you're someone the factory team can count on to jump in and help get the day's work done.
