Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Side Load Trash Truck Driver and become a vital part of our waste collection operations! In this energetic role, you'll operate specialized side load trash trucks to efficiently collect waste from commercial and residential customers. Your expertise in driving and vehicle operation will ensure timely pickups while maintaining safety and environmental standards. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your skills in heavy lifting, manual transmission driving, and truck operation make a real impact on community cleanliness and sustainability. Responsibilities Safely operate side load trash trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbed trucks as needed. Load and unload waste containers with precision using mechanical knowledge of various truck types. Drive through designated routes to collect waste from commercial and residential sites, adhering to schedule and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning of all equipment. Perform heavy lifting of waste containers and manage manual loading procedures efficiently. Maintain accurate collection logs, delivery records, and route documentation throughout the shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups and resolve any operational issues promptly. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience operating manual transmission vehicles. Proven driving experience with heavy trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers. Mechanical knowledge of truck systems, hydraulic lifts, and related equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during waste collection activities. Prior experience as a delivery or collection driver preferred. Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and waste management operations.
