Job Description:
This position works 3rd Shift the following hours: Thursday 12:30am-6:30am & 6:30pm-6:30am Friday 6:30pm-6:30am Saturday 6:30pm-6:30am.
Job responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly lot to maximize efficiency of plant needs. Safely maneuver tractor-trailers at docks for loading and unloading. Must interact with plant personnel and comply with plant safety regulations. Communicate with and take direction from a supervisor/ plant staff. Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner, including but limited to, bills of lading. Maintain cleanliness of company-owned equipment. Keep tractor and reefers properly fueled at all times. Understand and follow all Department of Transportation rules and regulations as well as company policy. Complete proper pre and post trip inspections on all equipment per company requirements. Comply with all hours-of-service requirements using provided Electronic Logging Device (ELD). Report mechanical problems to maintenance using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) section of the ELD. Required to work variable hours that may include additional hours, weekends and during emergency situations. Maintain a positive attitude with customers and RMI employees.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to pass DOT drug and alcohol tests, including random testing. Must meet driver requirements as outlined in company policy. Must have a current and valid medical certificate as noted on their motor vehicle report (MVR). Ability to safely operate tandem tractor-trailer equipment with 53 ft. trailers in all types of circumstances including intercity, inter-state, and intra-city travel. Current Class A CDL commercial driver license. 6+ months of CDL A experience is required, 2+ years is preferred.
Wage Range:
24.00 - 27.00 per hour
