Requirements:

Must be 18 or older. Must possess a valid drivers license. Experience driving a tractor is required. There will also be a mandatory driver/operator training/screening session.

Schedule:

We are looking for both weekday and weekend drivers. Hours are 9am-6:30pm. Be prepared to operate in various weather conditions (such as rain and colder weather).

Duties:

Basic machine operator etiquette. Fueling tractor/s when needed. Checking tires on wagons. Keeping both the tractor and the wagons clean. When not on the tractor, drivers are asked to help with general grounds duties.

Required work authorization:

United States. Our tractor driver position begins with a few training days in August. Opening day is August 30th and the mill will close November 9th. Tractor drivers pull wagon tours through the Orchard and return everyone safely back to the Cider Mill. Tours are typically a half hour in length during the weekend and around 15 minutes during the week as the route is shorter during the week. Tours run during many variations of fall weather. If people are lined up and want to ride, we give them a ride! Our preferred/ideal candidates are experienced with operating tractors or other heavy machinery and enjoy working outdoors. Experience is not required but is highly desirable and certainly preferred. Our work environment is fast-paced and community driven. We are interested in hiring motivated people who demonstrate crowd management skills that help keep visitors safe during their wagon rides as they build memories here at Plymouth Orchards.
