Smith Lawnscapes LLC, a family-oriented landscape construction and maintenance company, is seeking a dependable Yard Hand and CDL Truck Driver to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a CDL A truck to transport landscaping materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites Drive and operate trucks and equipment to support landscape construction projects Properly load, unload, and secure materials and equipment Operate a variety of loaders, skid steers, fork lifts, and other material handling equipment Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and required driver logs Use GPS and maps to safely plan routes Monitor and report equipment maintenance or repair needs Help keep the yard and equipment areas clean and organized Assist crews with general labor and field duties as needed
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record CDL Class A with air brake endorsement preferred Previous truck driving/equipment operating experience required Knowledge of driver logs and vehicle inspection requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Basic measurement and calculation skills Dependable with good communication and problem-solving skills Must comply with required random drug and alcohol testing
