Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles. Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring cargo integrity and adherence to safety protocols. Execute route driving plans effectively, navigating urban and rural areas while complying with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, manifests, and inspection reports. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or route changes. Maintain a clean driving record and uphold safety standards at all times during operations. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with a focus on freight transportation. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Knowledge of load securing techniques for different cargo types to ensure safe transport. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods when necessary. Strong understanding of route planning and navigation skills for timely deliveries across diverse locations. Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance standards. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
