Job Description
•$2500 sign on bonus•Are you looking for a new career within a fast growing and stable environment? Thompson Sanitation is currently looking to hire a route driver to be a part of our team and service our Southern MN and Northern IA service areas. The general purpose of this route is to operate collection equipment on designated routes to service our customers. The right candidate must be able to perform pre and post trip safety inspections of their equipment to ensure safe operation, refuel and add fluids to equipment as needed, follow company policies in regard to safety and maintenance procedures as well as customer service. Strong communication skills are a must to ensure they are able to communicate equipment and safety concerns to supervisors and customer service reps. The right candidate must be able to mount and dismount the truck to perform the collection process on the routes. They must also be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. as well as push and or pull heavy containers through uneven terrain. Start time for this position is 4:45/5:15 AM. The average day runs 8-10 hrs. Monday through Friday. Occasionally shifts can run over 12 hrs. There are also some mandatory Saturdays worked throughout the year. Our job is rain or shine, so the right candidate must like working in the outdoor conditions for the all the seasons. We are looking for someone that possesses a minimum of a Class B CDL and is able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. If this sounds like the position for you, we encourage you to apply.
