Job Description

The primary responsibility of R.D. Offutt Farms Seasonal General Support - Scale House Attendant is to manage daily operations of the truck weigh station during the seasonal harvest. This position will need to ensure all trucks are properly scaled before and after unloading and direct the truck traffic to the proper unloading zones. Organize and manage the paper flow of scale documents and ensure data is input into the system accurately.
Compensation & Benefits:
Discretionary Bonus Training and development, as well as opportunities to grow within the organization $15 - $18 / hour
Job Duties:
Scale harvest trucks in and out by utilizing the auto scale program, GradeStar Receiving. Track and reconcile loads received by location and organize scale tickets. Direct truck drivers to the appropriate destination whether it be to the field, storage, or raw receiving. Effectively communicate between truck drivers, field managers, raw receiving, and bin managers throughout the shift. Maintain full coverage of their shift throughout the entire harvest timeframe. Must have good communication skills and ability to work under high paced work environment. Employee must be responsible to work in a safe manner following safe work practices while in the plant or on company premises. Other duties as assigned Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader Communicate effectively with management and other team members Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner Requirements High school diploma or GED required Must have reliable transportation to and from work Up to one month of related experience or training preferred Willingness to constantly work outside Good general computer skills Ability to meet physical requirements of the positions with or without accommodation Walking on uneven ground at the farm locations Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises Strong communication skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
