Lazer Logistics is hiring Local CDL A Truck Drivers to support yard management, spotting, and shuttle operations for major distribution centers. In this home-daily role, you'll move trailers safely within yards and on short shuttle routes using specialized equipment and yard technology. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, safe maneuvering in tight spaces, and clear communication with dispatch and yard teams. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractors and yard spotters to move trailers safely within distribution center yards and on local shuttle routes Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company standards Safely back, dock, and reposition trailers in tight, high-traffic yard environments Follow all safety procedures, driving regulations, and facility rules at all times Communicate clearly with dispatch, yard control, and warehouse teams using radios and yard management systems Use onboard and yard technology to track trailer locations and complete moves accurately Maintain accurate logs and basic paperwork as required by company and DOTReport equipment defects, safety concerns, and incidents promptly to supervisors Support a safety-focused, team-oriented culture and assist new drivers when needed Demonstrate reliability and professionalism to support long-term customer relationships and potential career advancement Required Skills CDL Class A driving Yard truck/spotter operation Backing and maneuvering in tight spaces DOT regulations knowledge Vehicle inspection (pre/post trip) Electronic logging systems Radio/yard management system communication Basic freight and trailer handling Defensive driving techniques Time management and route planning
