Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and other construction or industrial supplies to various job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate diverse routes will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for drivers passionate about heavy vehicle operation and logistics, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload efficiently using manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations accurately and on schedule. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or adjust routes as necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or dump trucks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and safe manual handling practices. Experience operating GPS navigation systems for route planning and delivery accuracy. Ability to drive manual transmission trucks confidently over long distances on route driving schedules. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
