Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer Pull end dump and bulk pneumatic trailers Transport cement, fly ash, sand, aggregate, and other construction or bulk materials Safely load, transport, and unload materials at customer locations Operate PTO, hydraulic, pneumatic, hose, valve, and unloading equipment Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections Inspect trailers, hoses, fittings, tires, brakes, lights, and safety equipment Complete delivery tickets, driver logs, inspection reports, and required paperwork Follow all DOT, FMCSA, company, customer-site, and plant safety requirements Communicate professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, customers, and other drivers Report equipment defects and maintenance concerns promptly Keep assigned equipment reasonably clean and in good operating condition Work safely around concrete plants, quarries, terminals, silos, hoppers, construction sites, and uneven surfaces Follow all required loading and unloading procedures Maintain dependable attendance and arrive ready to work as scheduled Transport materials to one of three local material yards.
- Follow designated routes and schedules for efficient delivery
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a class A endorsement.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Experience with end dump and or pneumatic tanks preferred, but will train the right person.
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to operate end dump and or pneumatic trailers.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
