Job Description

This position requires team members to efficiently move trailers around the facility to help prepare freight that is being transported to Menard, Inc. stores.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely and efficiently move trailers to different areas of the facility Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions while driving and operating equipment in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others Open and close swinging trailer doors. Ensure proper freight securement of all loaded trailers Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations Communicate with area supervisors using a yard management system to ensure proper placement of trailers Perform pre-trip inspection on trailers Perform safety check of tractor vehicle prior to operation Basic mechanical skills.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a good driving record Experience operating tractor/trailer or willingness to learn CDL license preferred but not required Enjoy working outdoors Proof of valid driver's license
