Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, hazardous materials, and specialized cargo across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will ensure our customers receive exceptional service. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems for timely deliveries across local, regional, and OTR routes. Load and unload freight safely, ensuring proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage or injury. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Secure cargo properly during transit, including logistics cargo handling for various types of freight. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic truck maintenance to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any route adjustments needed. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving. Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling of logistics cargo. Knowledge of truck types such as tractor-trailer units, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the cargo transported (e.g., hazmat endorsement). Experience operating trucks with manual transmissions is preferred but not mandatory. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and hazardous materials regulations is essential.
