Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to ensure timely delivery of freight across diverse routes. Your expertise in adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations will be essential in maintaining safety and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our transportation operations, delivering goods efficiently while upholding the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and timely deliveries across assigned routes Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo safety and security Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols during transportation and cargo handling Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory requirements Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any incidents during transit Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling of logistics cargo handling Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments Ability to safely load/unload cargo and handle hazardous or dangerous goods when necessary Strong adherence to safety standards and a commitment to safe driving practices Join our team as a Driver if you're passionate about delivering freight efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards.
