Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of trucks and trailers, including manual transmission, end dump trailers, roll-off trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. This role involves transporting freight efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Duties Operate tractor-trailer units for the delivery of goods across designated routes. Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding commercial driving and safety practices. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving, delivery driver experience preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures including loading and unloading techniques. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings prior to employment.
