Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a professional Driver, where your expertise in commercial truck driving will keep our logistics operations moving seamlessly. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) journeys, while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. Your dedication to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service will help us deliver goods efficiently and reliably. Duties Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and follow optimal routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations Load and unload freight safely, managing logistics cargo handling with precision and care for hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable Transport freight over long distances on over-the-road (OTR) routes, maintaining consistent communication with dispatch for route updates and delivery schedules Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicle maintenance needs Ensure proper documentation of deliveries, including load manifests, delivery receipts, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving techniques, including manual handling of cargo and managing manual transmission trucks when required Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with a focus on freight transportation Skilled in operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers with manual transmission capabilities Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods Proficient in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes Ability to load & unload freight safely using proper manual handling techniques; experience with truck loading and unloading procedures Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes for various types of freight including refrigerated goods and hazardous materials Excellent driving skills demonstrated through a clean driving record; familiar with commercial truck driving standards and safety practices Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
