Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Local, Regional, or Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers. As a driver, you will be the vital link in our logistics chain, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in truck driving, cargo handling, and route navigation will help keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied. MILE OTR/REGIONAL
Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers on local, regional, or OTR routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety standards during all operations. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; handle logistics cargo with care and precision. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, hours of service, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation—experience with refrigerated trailers or hazardous materials is a plus. Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission trucks confidently; familiarity with manual handling techniques for cargo is essential. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety procedures related to trucking and logistics cargo handling. Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery schedules. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or using manual equipment ; capable of handling various types of freight such as heavy cargo. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; ability to follow all traffic laws and company policies diligently.
