Boyd Bros. Transportation Inc., a family-owned leader in flatbed trucking, is seeking professional Flatbed Truck Drivers to haul steel, building materials, and other flatbed freight nationwide. In this role, you'll safely operate late-model tractors, secure and tarp loads, manage logs and inspections, and maintain strong communication with dispatch and customers. Responsibilities Operate a flatbed tractor-trailer safely over regional and/or OTR routes Secure, tarp, and inspect steel, building materials, and other flatbed loads per DOT and company standards Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and terminal staff Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and customer site rules Plan routes, manage time, and meet on-time pickup and delivery expectations Protect freight integrity and company equipment to reduce damage and downtime Represent Boyd Bros. with professional conduct and customer service at all times Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and performance reviews Required Skills CDL Class A driving Flatbed load securement Tarping and cargo protection DOT regulations and compliance Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Route planning and time management Defensive driving and safety practices Customer service and communication Paperwork and bill of lading management
