Job Description

Job responsibilities for Truck Driver include: Must check shipment to make sure it is properly secured for transporting to project site. Must have the ability to maneuver equipment in tight areas. Must be able to drop and spot trailers; must be able to back trucks and trailers in and out of docks, shipping and receiving areas and on job sites. Must have flexible hours to accommodate pickup and/or delivery times. Must be able to inspect trucks and trailers for defects before and after trips. Must assure the trucks and trailers stay in roadworthy condition at all times, including service, maintenance, inspections, permits, etc. Must contact Transportation Manager for approval of any service or maintenance. Must review all required permits, inspections, registrations, etc. regularly and inform Transportation Manager when those are soon to expire. Must refuse to transport loads in the event any permits or registrations are incorrect, incomplete or out of date. Must maintain all logs as required by Department of Transportation and Environmental Air Systems. Must maintain all license requirements and medical requirements as set by the Division of Transportation. Must assure the assigned fuel card stays in the truck except when being used to purchase fuel, and alert the Transportation Manager immediately in the event the card does not work or is lost. Must be familiar with all Comfort Systems USA policies and abide by those policies at all times. Will be required to perform other related duties as deemed necessary by supervision.
EDUCATION
This Position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or
GED JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS
CDL Class A License Medical Examiner's Certificate Must have at least 2-years driving experience. Must pass a road test given by a current EAS driver. Subject to Motor Vehicle Report to meet the EAS Driver Policy standards.
