Job Summary As a Propane Delivery Driver, your energy and dedication will drive safety, efficiency, and exceptional service. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting propane to refill cylinders and bulk tanks for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in a fast-paced environment, delivering essential energy solutions with professionalism and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Safely operate propane delivery trucks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize time and fuel consumption. Load and unload fuel accurately, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Deliver propane to various customer locations, including residential homes, businesses, and industrial sites. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain detailed delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records for each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns during driving routes. When not delivering propane, you will be performing tank maintenance and installing new tanks for customers. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and cargo handling techniques. Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and dangerous goods transportation standards. Ability to operate a tablet to accurately record deliveries to customers, including the ability to route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient deliveries across routes. Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload activities; physical stamina for manual tasks are involved. Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tank endorsement Candidates for this job MUST have a clean driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
