Contracting - 5.0 Charlotte, NC Job Details Full-time From $25 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Life insurance Qualifications Heavy haul CDL A End dump DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Straps Full Job Description Site Development Contractor is seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver to work full time in NC. Heavy equipment hauling experience preferred. Driver will be working in a Peterbilt road tractor with various trailers, including a dump trailer. The driver would be responsible for timely deliveries of the material and equipment to job sites. It is also important that the truck remains organized clean and in proper working order. Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections of truck and cargo. Monitor condition of equipment and report all issues immediately. Load and unload trailers by operating equipment as needed Deliver products and proper paperwork to our jobs in a courteous and timely manner. Receive and relay information to a central dispatcher. Ensure that loaded materials are properly secured and protected. Ensure that the load is safely and correctly placed center and is secured by using chains or straps to avoid damage to the truck or the goods. Follow all designated safety procedures. Responsible for reporting any accidents, incidents or equipment damage that occurs. Accident or incident reports must be completed by the employee and supervisor immediately when such event occurs. Participate, support and comply with all health, safety initiatives, and requirements. Continually follow all DOT requirements. Maintain equipment (chains, binders, safety equipment) to ensure they are in proper working order When on road trucking duties are not required, driver may be asked to operate off road truck at various job sites. Heavy equipment operating experience will lead to more overtime opportunities and increased pay.
