Job Description:
Haul Truck Driver Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Haul Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of haul trucks used to transport materials such as ore, soil, and aggregates at mining, quarry, or construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to following all safety protocols and site regulations. Key Responsibilities Operate haul trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently within the worksite. Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance needs. Follow all safety procedures and site rules at all times. Load and unload materials according to operational requirements. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members to coordinate tasks. Maintain accurate records of loads and vehicle activities. Adhere to environmental guidelines and regulations during operations. Assist with other site duties as required. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license may be required depending on local regulations. Prior experience operating heavy equipment or haul trucks. Basic mechanical knowledge for conducting vehicle checks. Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings. Physical ability to perform duties, including sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in mining, quarry, or construction environments. Certification in operating off-road vehicles or heavy equipment. Familiarity with GPS or fleet management technology. Strong understanding of workplace safety and environmental protocols. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Relevant Skills & Competencies Safe driving and equipment operation. Attention to detail and situational awareness. Ability to follow instructions and site protocols. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Time management and reliability.
