Key Responsibilities Keep Communities Clean:
Safely collect solid waste and recyclables from customer premises and curbside locations. Team Up with
Drivers:
Assist drivers with safe vehicle operations, including navigating tight spots and backing up.
Equipment Operation:
Load waste into collection vehicles and operate compaction equipment safely.
Pre-Trip Prep:
Audit trucks before heading out to ensure all required equipment (brooms, shovels, safety gear) is on board.
Safety First:
Perform equipment checks, follow company and federal/state safety guidelines, and wear proper PPE at all times.
Customer Interaction:
Tag prohibited waste items, report route issues promptly, and represent GFL with a friendly, professional demeanor. What We're Looking For High energy & physical endurance: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 65 lbs regularly, and move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Outdoor Enthusiast:
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Team Player:
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
Reliable:
