Truck Driver/Demo Req #2519 3201 Integrity Dr, Garner, NC 27529, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 12:00 AM Primary Function The Truck Driver/ Demo is responsible for equipment delivery, customer support, and operational activities while ensuring safe, efficient, and professional service. Essential Duties Equipment Delivery and Transportation Deliver and retrieve rental, new, used, or other company equipment to and from customer locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner Operate delivery vehicles and trailers safely while following all applicable transportation regulations, permits, and documentation requirements Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and industry standards Maintain required transportation logs, delivery records, and other documentation accurately and timely Equipment Handling and Documentation Inspect equipment before and after delivery to identify, document, and report damage, condition issues, or operational concerns Utilize electronic systems and company processes to complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records Communicate delivery status, equipment concerns, and customer needs with internal teams and customers Equipment Demonstration and Customer Support Provide equipment demonstrations and operational training to customers and employees on proper equipment use and safety procedures Assist customers with basic operational questions and provide support to ensure successful equipment utilization Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and customer-focused approach Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks on delivery vehicles, trailers, and assigned equipment Identify maintenance needs and coordinate appropriate repairs or service to ensure safe and reliable operation Maintain clean, organized, and safe vehicles, trailers, and equipment in accordance with company standards Safety and Operational Excellence Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing job responsibilities Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism with customers, coworkers, and business partners Support operational goals by completing assignments efficiently and adapting to changing business needs Minimum Requirements Education High School diploma or GED; 2-year technical school graduate preferred. Work Experience 2+ years' experience driving a class 8 vehicle. 1+ year experience delivering mobile equipment to industrial/construction sites. Physical Pass and maintain bi-annual DOT physical and drug test. Ability to operate a truck, trailer, and/or other equipment. Able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and lift. Able to routinely lift and carry up to 80 -140 pounds without aid or assistance. Able to see and hear to operate delivery vehicles and equipment. Other Must have CDL class "A" license required to operate class 8 truck and trailer combination. Delivery vehicle may be tractor/trailer or rollback/trailer as required. Mechanical training and familiarity with larger industrial equipment. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and provide equipment demonstrations. Ability to organize hauling schedules efficiently to maximize productivity and operational output.
