Requirements:
The Campus Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, components, and finished furniture products between facilities within the company's campus or local manufacturing sites. This role supports production flow by ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety, quality, and organization standards.
Responsibilities:
Operate company trucks to transport raw materials, parts, and finished goods between buildings or nearby facilities Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment (or coordinate with material handlers as needed) Ensure all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transport Follow designated routes and schedules to support production timelines Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation Communicate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to coordinate deliveries Adhere to all company safety policies and DOT regulations (if applicable) Assist with material handling or warehouse duties when not driving
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in metal finishing, polishing, or buffing in a manufacturing or welding environment preferred. Ability to operate hand tools and polishing/buffing equipment safely and effectively. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to recognize surface imperfections and take corrective action. Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle repetitive motions.
