This is a 1099 position . The ideal candidate will have experience operating a dump truck and a strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and will have at least 3-4 years of experience driving a dump truck with a clean driving record. We are a small family owned business. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites Perform pre-operation inspections on dump trucks and other heavy equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning Coordinate with site supervisors to determine the most efficient routes and schedules for material delivery Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction zones, including the use of excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and paving equipment as needed Maintain accurate logs of materials transported and hours worked in compliance with company policies Follow all safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues promptly for repairs Experience Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction or similar heavy equipment environment Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, dozers, water trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving equipment Commercial driving experience with a valid CDL license preferred Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in site safety protocols Hands-on experience with Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is advantageous Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment including grader operation, water truck handling, horizontal drilling tools, tanker trucks, and paving machinery is a plus Competitive pay.
