Job Description

The Receiving Inbound - Driver position is responsible for loading/unloading trailers, transferring tires via truck to offsite warehouse and documenting tires as needed. This is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) covered position. Unload inbound worn casing trailers using forklift Do daily inspection and checklist for forklift prior to first operation each day; report any issues to supervisor Break down stacks of tires using forklift and stage in write up area Record information from tires on receiving list for work order generation, remove stickers and tape from tires Assign correct item number to receiving list for each tire Once work order is generated, place each work order in plastic sleeve Verify information on tire matches work order, serial, R-level, item number, size and customer Stage tires for daily production using daily production schedule in initial inspection Move tires not scheduled for production to trailers staging areas, scan to trailer location, and place in trailer Work the reject trailer as assigned skiving information off tire as directed by process manual Barrell stack tires and then load on reject trailer; remove debris and sweep work area daily Keep work area clear of obstructions and be alert for safety hazards and report such to supervisor Deliver tires offsite to additional warehouse using class 8 truck and trailer Unload and load tires as required to additional warehouse using forklift Scan tires to JDE to transfer tires from trailer to warehouse location; maintain accurate inventory counts in additional warehouse locations using forklift Observe all traffic laws and safe operation of truck at all times; maintain appropriate licensure to operate truck Pre-trip inspect truck and trailer prior to operation daily; maintain proper fluid levels in truck daily Assist with annual inventory; all others duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required At least one year experience driving class 8 truck with good driving record; DUIs are not permitted Have and maintain a valid Class A CDL Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical card Prior experience in warehouse/production environment Experience with warehouse equipment, specifically forklifts Attention to detail, perform with accuracy
