Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yardman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of equipment from our store to other stores. You would be responsible for moving equipment within the yard and keeping equipment clean and washed. Also responsible for yard maitnance .. ( mowing, yard clean up, ect) transferring and loading, unloading equipment and machines. Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain a clean and organized yard environment while adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle movements, schedules, and any issues that arise. Assist with moving heavy equipment and materials as required. Operate yard jockey duties to manage the flow of trucks in the loading area. assisting rental with moving and loading equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driver roles is preferred. Familiarity with various types of equipment including paratransit, flatbed trucks, excavators, and other heavy equipment machinary. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous warehouse experience or knowledge of freight handling is desirable. Must possess a valid driver's license.
