East Coast Civil Group is a premier civil construction and site development contractor serving central North Carolina. We specialize in excavation, grading, utilities installation, stormwater management systems, road construction, and more. Our team is built on hard work, expertise, and a commitment to delivering top-quality projects. We are seeking an experienced Dump Truck Driver to operate both standard and articulated dump trucks for material transport on various civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy construction environments, ensuring safe and efficient material handling while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers a great opportunity to work with a respected, locally-owned company dedicated to high-quality site development and infrastructure work.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate standard and articulated dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, stone, and construction debris to and from job sites. Safely load, haul, and dump materials following project requirements and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functionality and compliance with DOT regulations. Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel. Work closely with site supervisors, equipment operators, and laborers to ensure efficient material transportation and job site coordination. Navigate job sites safely and effectively, adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A or B license. Min. 1 yr experience operating dump trucks (experience with articulated dump trucks preferred). Clean driving record with knowledge of DOT regulations. Ability to operate in rough terrain and navigate construction sites safely. Strong work ethic, reliability, eager & able to work in a team-oriented environment. Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor conditions.
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
