Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team and serve as a leader for future employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to manage time effectively. Duties Safely operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Ability to lead and instruct others on safety adherence, delivery protocol and general best-practices. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Manage loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Utilize manual transmission when required for specific truck types. Operate forklifts as necessary for loading and unloading tasks. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries. Experience Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with operating various truck types. Experience in truck driving with a focus on safety regulations and best practices. Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively. Prior experience as a delivery driver is a plus but not required. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and equipment.
