Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques while ensuring proper securing of hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel consumption. Transport automobile parts or other freight with precision, ensuring cargo integrity during transit. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, hazard materials regulations, and safety standards related to hazardous goods. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs promptly. Load and unload cargo accurately while adhering to logistics cargo handling protocols; manage documentation for shipments including load manifests and delivery receipts. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tractor-trailer operation, hazardous materials (Hazmat), or tanker loads preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across OTR routes. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker transport, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling of freight required. Strong navigation skills using GPS systems; excellent route planning abilities to ensure timely deliveries. Physical ability to handle freight manually when loading/unloading; comfortable working in various weather conditions.
