Position Type:
Full-Time, Regular Schedule:
40 hours/week About the Role Are you an experienced CDL driver looking for a local route where you get to be your own boss on the road and still sleep in your own bed every night? Look no further! At GFL Environmental, green isn't just our color—it's our passion. We're looking for a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Front-End Driver to join our team. You'll be operating high-powered front-load equipment, serving commercial and multi-family residential customers across assigned routes, and playing a vital role in keeping our local communities clean and green. What You'll Be Doing Master the
Route:
Drive commercial front-load vehicles along assigned routes to service businesses and commercial properties. Operate with
Precision:
Use hydraulics and controls to lift and dump commercial dumpsters smoothly and safely. Be the
Face of GFL:
Positively interact with local business owners and community members along your daily route.
Keep Safety First:
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures. Navigate like a
Pro:
Use GPS and route maps to navigate commercial parking lots and tight spaces safely.
What We're Looking For Credentials:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) in good standing.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of commercial truck driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
Maneuvering Skills:
Ability to safely operate and back up heavy equipment in busy commercial areas.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, open corral gates, and perform physical pre/post-trip inspections.
