Local Delivery Position Overview & Key Responsibilities:
Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders for shipment Load and unload materials for efficient dispatch and delivery Complete local, in-town deliveries using a company vehicle Verify dispatch orders and ensure delivery accuracy Obtain customer signatures and maintain proper delivery documentation Process customer returns and required paperwork Put inventory away and maintain an organized warehouse Use scanners to locate inventory and resolve stock discrepancies Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks Fill in for out-of-town route drivers during PTO or other absences Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with additional warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Minimum of one year of verifiable warehouse experience Valid DOT Medical Certificate required or at least willing to obtain one Good driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safe driving practices Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
