Job Description

Plains Grain & Agronomy is seeking a self-motivated, organized, professional applicant for our Company. The following position must provide a positive representation of the PGAg by demonstrating safe, responsible driving practices on and off company time. The applicant must be able to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner. Applicants must also be available to help in other locations and departments when not needed for hauling. Role and Responsibilities Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport materials between company locations, customer sites and vendors. Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns. Safely load and unload freight, securing cargo as well. Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and other required documentation. Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers. Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards and procedures. Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness. Follow all company safety procedures and policies. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent. Over-the-road truck driving experience of 2 years. Must have and obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must have and maintain a medical card. Must have and maintain a clean and safe driving record. Ability to work with promptness, speed and accuracy. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to drive in all-weather conditions.
