Overview Join our dynamic team as a USA Class 1 Driver and take the wheel in delivering essential freight across diverse routes with energy and precision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. As a vital link in our supply chain, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism on every journey. Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels to ensure optimal performance Load and unload freight using forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo Maintain accurate documentation for each pick up, including pick up logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime during trips Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed for loading or unloading freight Requirements Valid Canadian Class 1 commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record Vslid Canadian Passport Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy-duty trucks and freight transportation. At least 2 years experience Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required Strong English skills Forklift training and hazmat training provided.
